TPT's image requirements are short but scattered across help pages and seller blogs. Here's the whole spec in one place, checked August 2026, plus the off-TPT sizes most sellers make at the same time.

The two rules that catch people: square or it gets cropped (TPT auto-crops rectangular uploads to square, usually beheading titles), and 750 is a minimum, not a target — uploading larger (e.g. 1500×1500) keeps text crisp on retina screens, as long as you stay under 4MB.
Most teacher-sellers make marketing images in the same sitting: Pinterest pins at 1000×1500 (2:3 — Pinterest's own recommendation, and teachers are among its heaviest users), Instagram squares at 1080×1080, and Facebook link images at 1200×630. Making all of them from the same source image, in one batch, is precisely the chore this site exists to remove.
If your cover starts life as page 1 of your PDF, export it as an image at the highest resolution your PDF tool offers, then resize down — downscaling keeps text sharp, upscaling never does. JPEG at 85% quality is the sweet spot for the 4MB limit; switch to PNG only for flat graphics with hard edges and no photos.
